Pharmacy FAQs
Where can I fill my prescription?
All new electronic prescriptions from off-base providers can be filled at the Satellite Pharmacy by calling 850-883-8000.
All new electronic prescriptions from 96th Medical Group providers are filled at the 96th MDG Main Pharmacy.
All refill prescriptions can be picked up at the Satellite Pharmacy or Script Center pickup site located at the BX and requested by calling 850-883-8160.
Prescriptions can also be filled through Express Scripts TRICARE Mail Order Program and can be delivered straight to your doorstep. Please visitÂ
Express Scripts Home Delivery
for more information (co-pays may apply).
If you would like information on whether your medication is stocked at the Eglin AFB Â Pharmacy, please visit the
TRICARE Formulary Search Tool
.
Under what conditions do patients utilize the main hospital pharmacy as opposed to the Satellite Pharmacy?
The in-hospital (main) pharmacy fills new prescriptions after an appointment with an Eglin hospital provider. All beneficiaries, regardless of status, must use the satellite pharmacy for
all
prescription refills and for new scripts placed from off-base providers.
Â
What is the most efficient way to get my new prescription filled?
The most expedient way for the 96th MDG to receive a prescription from off base is to have your provider send it electronically to our pharmacy. Per Florida law, controlled substances must be prescribed electronically. To activate your prescription most efficiently, we recommend the following options:
QANYWHERE (TEXT):
Patients can text the pharmacy to activate prescriptions.
Patients may text “Get in Line” to 1-833-274-5398 and follow the prompts
Patients may utilize QAnywhere for both on-base script activations (main pharmacy) and off-base activations sent via e-scripts (Satellite Pharmacy)
What is the process to refill my prescription?
Your 96th MDG prescription bottle should have information on the number of refills left. You can activate your refill automatically by calling 850-883-8160 and inputting the script number(s) on your prescription bottles. You will receive a text when your refill is available for pick up at the satellite pharmacy. You may also choose to pick up at the BX ScriptCenter.
What if I am out of refills on my prescription?
If you are out of refills on your prescription, you will require a renewal.Renewals must be placed by your Primary Care Manager or the originating provider who ordered the script.Depending on the medication and stability on the medication, you may have to be seen for follow-up.If the script was written by a 96th MDG provider, you may request a renewal by messaging the provider and their team on the
MHS GENESIS Patient Portal
. If you are having issues logging on to the patient portal, you can place a message to your provider by calling the Central Appointments Line at 850-883-8600 and selecting the option for your clinic.
