The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

During this partial government shutdown, the 96th Medical Group remains open and continues to honor scheduled medical and dental appointments. Our patient appointing service is open and we're still taking requests for appointments. We're doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care. The hospital’s Operating Room, Primary Care and Specialty Care services are fully operational. Ancillary services (pharmacy, laboratory, radiology) also remain operational. As always, safe, and high-quality health care remain our priority. Please call 850-883-8600 to schedule or cancel appointments. Nutritional Medicine

Registered Dietitians and Diet Technicians at Eglin’s Nutrition Clinic offer a variety of group and individual appointments.

The Best S.E.L.F. course is for active duty service members, and is the only class offered that doesn’t require a referral from your medical provider. ’S.E.L.F.,’ meaning ’Shape-up, Eat Right, Live Well, Fit to Fight,’ embodies the intent of the course and covers nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress management, and mindfulness topics. Groups meet for approximately 90 minutes weekly for five weeks and are guided through goal setting at each session depending on the members’ motivation level. Participants are offered an individual consultation with a registered dietitian and “InBody” body composition measurements to track their progress. Call and reserve your seat today; spaces are limited.
