My Military Health: Improving the Patient Experience
The Defense Health Agency is changing how you access care and how we deliver it, making care more focused on you as a person. You’ll soon have faster, easier, and more convenient access from your phone, tablet, or laptop to online tools and services to help meet your health care needs.
The Defense Health Agency selected Eglin Air Force Base from among 45 military hospitals, setting it apart as one of the first five sites to launch My Military Health. My Military Health is a new suite of online tools and technologies to help you to engage in your health. You’ll have access to a range of digital care solutions, including:
- Ability to schedule virtual appointments, get appointment reminders, and access virtual waiting rooms.
- Ability to search online for network primary and specialty care providers.
With My Military Health, we’ll meet you where you are – at home, at work or in your community.
Scheduled Virtual Visits
In today’s fast-paced world, it isn’t always easy to make time for medical appointments. With My Military Health Scheduled Virtual Visits, you can connect safely and securely with your primary health care provider when and where it’s convenient for you. Scheduled Virtual Visits are perfect for primary care and specialty appointments. Health care on your terms. Anytime, anywhere. See the Scheduled Virtual Visits page for details.
Scheduled virtual visits are virtual video appointments that give you the flexibility to meet with your health care provider from a location that’s convenient and comfortable for you. The new platform is safe, secure, and easy to use, making it the perfect option for anyone who wants to engage in their health care on their terms.
Health care on your terms
Joining a virtual visit is easy by using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, speaker, and a strong internet connection. You will receive a reminder email and text message when it's time to join the appointment, or you can enter directly from the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal up to 30 minutes before the appointment time. That means no extra logins or apps for you to download. And since Scheduled Virtual Visits are integrated with MHS GENESIS, providers can easily access your charts, provide referrals, enroll you in other care programs, and schedule follow-up appointments.
If you don’t have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can still schedule an in-person appointment by calling the 96th Medical Group appointment line at 850-883-8600.
