Inpatient Units

We are an eight bed unit, which provides care to patients with severe or life-threatening illnesses or injuries. We provide these patients with continuous assessment while monitoring vital signs and patient’s response to life support equipment, treatment therapies, and medications. Our unit is staffed by highly trained physicians and nurses who specialize in caring for critically ill patients. Common conditions that are treated within our unit includes acute respiratory distress syndrome, hypertension, rapid ventricular tachycardia, and other life-threatening conditions. Patients may be referred directly from an emergency department if required, or from a ward if they rapidly deteriorate, or immediately after surgery, if the surgery is invasive or if the patient is at high risk of complications.
